Forest Lakes is one of Classic’s flagship communities and is currently home to more than 300 families. As we do with all Classic Communities, we approached the Forest Lakes development plan with strategic foresight and have worked thoughtfully to create a community that will be enjoyed by generations to come.
We broke ground on the first lot in Forest Lakes in the summer of 2015 with the opening of homesites in Bristlecone and the Estate Lots. Within months of beginning construction of homes in Filing 3 of Bristlecone, our development team began constructing the vision for Waterfront Park, including the amphitheater, dock, boat launch, and pavilion that overlooks Bristlecone Lake today. In partnership with the Metro District and the HOA, we have invested considerable time and resources into stocking Bristlecone Lake with different species of fish over the past six years. In 2017, Classic began delivering the first completed homes in Pinons (the smaller lake). During this time, we also transplanted more than 300 trees (the majority of which came from one of Classic’s other developments) and began the design and construction of the community entry feature you see on Forest Lakes Drive today. From 2017-2019, the annual Summer Concerts at Waterfront Park were organized and funded by Classic Homes. It’s exciting and rewarding to see this community tradition being carried forward by the Forest Lakes Social Committee. Thank you to the individuals on the committee who are working tirelessly to continue bringing fun, family-friendly activities to the community. We are thrilled to see the community amenities being used the way they were intended to be enjoyed by Forest Lakes residents!
In 2018, Classic began working on the development plan for the West Valley at Forest Lakes (180 lots) and introduced
community builder and partner Vantage Homes to the community. The first residents in the West Valley are now moving into their new homes and getting settled in the community. To date, more than 50 homesites, including five of the six available Estate lots are either under contract or closed. The construction of the bridge in the West Valley has been the single largest
infrastructure improvement necessary to open the remaining homesites in Filings 6 & 7. We anticipate the bridge construction to be complete mid to late June. Curb and gutter work is nearing completion in Filing 6 and Filing 7 isn’t too far behind. Filing 7 should be paved before winter 2022. Classic Homes and Vantage Homes will soon begin releasing additional lots in Filing 6 with plans to open new model homes on Timber Trek Way in July. The timeline for releasing lots in Filing 7 has yet to be determined. View interactive lot map here.
